Good design makes a product useful. Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product whilst disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it. Good design is aesthetic. The aesthetic quality of a product is integral to its usefulness because products that using every day affect the person and their well-being.

With extensive experience in the disputed civil construction market on the coast of Santa Catarina, Raphael has already designed more than 350 thousand sqm with his team, generating more than 1.2 billion reais in PSV for partner construction companies. His prominence with developers is so strong that, in many cases, he acts as a strategic consultant in various decision-making processes, playing an important role in the verticalization of Porto Belo and Itapema, cities that are among the fastest growing in the state. His contribution to the region, however, does not stop there. In addition to promoting the market with the generation of multidisciplinary jobs, Raphael is avant-garde by essence, bringing trends from different schools of international architecture and a breath of creativity to a market that historically values more of the same. Finally, he also works by lending the structure of his office to social responsibility actions, such as adopting animals, and promoting sport in the region with the sponsorship of professionals and training centers.

I wore several hats for many years: managing my own design agency, doing business development and being the creative director behind each projects, mentoring and training my team while improving my own skills. I served different clients: from luxury power houses to technology start-ups to large scale government funded projects. Very different, and yet very similar: one common denominator during all these years was the need of being creative within a defined budget and, usually tight, time frame. Controlling budget and timeline while being creative is a challenging position where I excel. Since 2016, I also had one foot in the Academic world, supervising the Industrial and Strategic Design section at SIVA (Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts). I worked closely with university to define the design curriculum and organize their teaching content. After 6 years with the university, I felt the need for new challenges and I decided to go back fully into the professional world. In 2018, I launched my own watch brand where I’m fulfilling my needs to design high-quality products and to implement long term brand vision. In 2021, I merged my agency to set-up a new company providing holistic design services: WY&P.

Travel used to mean hard works as a business women who raised business with single handed. For photo shooting, trade fair exhibition and etc., many luggage to carry made business trip more tired and troublesome. After several big crisis, big fire which swallowed up all the product stock and covid pandemic which swept market demand, we decided to design the luggage we always needed for ourselves.
